Yesterday Holly had her 4th chemo treatment. All went well, and so far she’s been in fine spirits. While she was at the vet, they did x-rays of her chest, and the x-rays are clear! I can’t even express the relief – I wasn’t sure I wanted them to do the x-ray, and they hadn’t told me they were going to do it. So when the vet tech said they had taken x-rays I think I held my breath until she said all was clear. 🙂
Over spring break Holly vacationed with her good friend Ernie, the yellow lab. They spent lots of time studying the squirrels in Ernie’s back yard – but I’m not sure what conclusions they reached. Perhaps more study is needed. I’m sure Holly will file a report with all you tripawds interested in squirrels! Holly also met her first pussycat while she was at Ernie’s – Sweetness is afraid of Ernie but evidently liked Holly! And now Holly really likes cats!
For now we’re happily back to the usual… Holly hanging out under my desk, checking out the squirrels in the yard, monitoring the big cheese box in the kitchen, and watching for the mailman. She’s happy, which makes all of us happy!

Yay Holly! Well done!
And I so appreciate the roller coaster of emotions. And seriously, I’ve expanded my lung capacity enormously over the last few months by holding my breath on more occasions than I can count.
The big cheese box in the kitchen – love it 🙂
Such great news about Holly’s chest x-rays! I remember holding my breath too when they took Mackenzie’s and then to hear that word….clear. Big sigh of relief! Glad to hear Holly is doing well after her 4th treatment. She looks so cute under the desk. It’s always great when things go back to the normal routine. I think Holly is due for lots of treats to celebrate her good news!
Yea Holly!!! That’s GREAT news!! I don’t know about that whole cat lovin thing, but keep watching those squirrelses!!

OH HollyJ By G!
I’ve been so lonesome without you! You can’t leave like that again! I could care less if you had a good time with Ernie. I decided I don’t like him anyway. I don’t have squirrels or cats so you and I could never do that whole other creature watching business. I have pigeons.
In your absence, I had to put Mackenzie (Miss Mack the Night) in charge of recruiting AMB Members! You wanna know how many she came up with? …ZIPPO! (Miss Slack the Night is more like it!)
When are you going to be done with the chemo stuff? I don’t like that either.
Okay, I know – I’ve been in a foul mood since you’ve been gone.
But it is because I missed you so much! I am happy about the x-ray though.

Sounds like a fun spring break! We all hate those yucky x-rays sometimes not knowing is better, but in your case the results were pawsome! Congrats!
You look so comfy under the desk! It is always nice being back at home!
XOXO

Way to go, Holly!!!
I had a similar experience after Yoda’s third chemo, I think it was. One of the vet techs came out to read me the whole report, which they didn’t usually do, so I got nervous. And she read it out loud so the whole waiting room could hear. Everything came back GREAT for Yoda at the time, so it was pretty cool to have the whole waiting room kind of sigh with relief with me. And then they all Ooohed and Ahhhed when he was brought out, showing off his mad tripawd skills as he hopped down the hall.
Keep it up, Holly. All us humans are soooooo impressed with you!!!
